1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how DeriveIt Innovations LLP ("DeriveIt", "we", "us", "our"), a commercial interior design and architecture firm headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit deriveitinnovations.com (the "Site") or interact with our forms, tools and services.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number, company name — submitted through our contact form, cost estimator, partner application, job application, internship application, project enquiry forms, and newsletter signup.
- Project details — service interest, budget range, space type, city, timeline and project descriptions submitted through our cost estimator and enquiry forms.
- Application materials — resumes/CVs, cover letters, portfolio links and uploaded work samples submitted through our jobs and internship application forms.
- Any other information you choose to include in free-text fields such as messages or "tell us about yourself" sections.
Information collected automatically
- Standard technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring website, and approximate location — collected via server logs and analytics tools.
- Cookies and similar technologies used for session management, security (including reCAPTCHA) and, where enabled, analytics and advertising measurement.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes and estimates, and follow up on project discussions.
- To process job, internship and partner-program applications.
- To send newsletter updates, but only if you have explicitly opted in.
- To protect the Site from spam and abuse (including via Google reCAPTCHA) and to monitor uptime and security (including via our monitoring provider, Alert91).
- To understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it, where analytics tools are enabled.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent (for example, when you tick a consent checkbox before submitting a form, or opt in to our newsletter), the necessity of processing to respond to your request or take steps prior to entering a contract with you, and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site.
5. Consent
Every form on this Site that collects personal information requires you to actively check a consent checkbox confirming that you have read this Privacy Policy and agree to the processing of your data for the stated purpose, before the form can be submitted. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 11 — this will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we never will. We may share information with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Site and our business — including our hosting provider, email delivery providers, Google (reCAPTCHA, and Analytics/Tag Manager where enabled), Meta (Pixel, where enabled), and Alert91 (uptime and security monitoring) — each of whom is only permitted to use your data to provide their service to us.
- Professional advisors (such as legal or accounting firms) where necessary.
- Authorities, where required by law, regulation or valid legal process.
See our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page for more detail on advertising-related data sharing and how to opt out.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for — for example, to respond to your enquiry, complete a hiring process, or comply with legal, accounting or reporting obligations — after which it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law (including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual retention requirements.
- Withdraw consent to processing at any time.
- Opt out of marketing communications (every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link).
- Lodge a grievance with our Grievance Officer (Section 11) or the relevant data protection authority.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies required for the Site to function (such as session and security cookies), and, where enabled, analytics and advertising cookies to help us understand Site usage. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect Site functionality.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Site and services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18, except where a parent or guardian submits information on their behalf as part of an internship application.
